1 cup citric acid
2 cups baking soda
Pink food color
10 - 20 drops total of Rose fragrance oil (or other floral scent)
1 tsp almond oil, sweet
Spray bottle filled with water
Molds
Dried rose petals, optional
Note: Do not use plastic bowls or utensils.
DIRECTIONS
- Measure the citric acid into a large bowl and sift the baking soda over the top. Add dried rose Petals
- Add a few drops of coloring. (The color will show up after the water has been added).
- Sprinkle 20 drops total of fragrance oil over mixture and 1 teaspoon of almond oil and mix with your hands or a spoon until THOROUGHLY mixed.
- Using your spray bottle, lightly spray mixture with the water about 2 or 3 times. Do not over spray. Mix well with your hands; it should have the consistency of wet sand and clump together when squeezed. If too dry, spray once with water and repeat until mixture can be packed together.
- Quickly fill your mold, pressing firmly to compact the mixture. Brush away any excess mixture and flatten the top. Invert molds onto a cookie sheet or waxed paper and gently pop out the bath fizzie.
- Allow to air dry for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
To use, drop bath fizzie into tub of warm water - enjoy!
